EVER GRANDE CITY/THE POKEMON LEAGUE. Somehow, several Arbok have invaded Hoenn's paradise of flowers, sea and Pokemon. Some have even snaked their way into the Pokemon League.[break][break]

Presumably, they've snuck in by traversing through terastal caverns, eventually discovering an opening into VICTORY ROAD, before sprawling out into the city. These Arbok are hungry. Hostile. These serpentine assailants also sport TOXIC CHAINS.[break][break]

With no hesitation, they swallow trainers and Pokemon whole, their vague forms wriggling within their stomachs.[break][break]

Brave the Arboks' terrifying hoods, free those writhing within their guts, and fight back against the ophidian occupation.[break][break]

The ARBOK horde slithers across the poisoned fields swiftly, threatening to overwhelm the occupants of the EVERGRANDE CITY Pokemon Center. Thankfully, Remiel and his AERODACTYL, OTHNIEL, swoop down from the skies above to shield the Pokemon Center with a ROCK SLIDE. The rocks plummet down from the heavens above to form a wide barrier and even manage to FLINCH some of the cobras there.[break][break]

But the fight is far from over. Before long, Remiel and Othniel turn back to assault the Arbok more. Just in time, as well, considering one of them has captured an ACE TRAINER. "Help me!" The blue-haired woman pleads before being swallowed whole.[break][break]

Though weak and sickly, Remiel manages to spawn a LIGHTNING BOLT in his hand before casting it at the lower half of the snake. It strikes with a clap of thunder and the Arbok spits the human out before she scrambles away... but it does not faint. The cloak of TOXIC CHAINS from its hood must have imbued it with higher resistance, the EX-ADMIN thinks.[break][break]

The Lopunn pounces on his third Arbok, hands clapping the snake's skull in a FAKE OUT that leaves it dazed. With a swift DOUBLE KICK she sends the poison-type sprawling into the brush.

"Next one, go!"

Pushing against the swelling sickness that festers in his body, he prays this entire thing was over with and quick.

Double mochi GIT.

"Go!" He booms once more, arriving at Ever Grande with his throwing arm ready, pokeball flying free from his palm.

The steel claws of Perrserker tore through the pavement as it landed and immediately threw back its head, releasing a cackling war cry that seemed to make the whole world rock back and forth.

With not a moment wasted to think its tactics through, it launched itself at the nearest Arbok like a living bullet, flying head first into a hissing python's face with a sickening crack.

"Oof." Grimaced Gwyar.

-Perrserker used Iron Head.

of the people equipped with pokemon that can handle poison, kyle has one of the most unique choices.

he faces them with his shadow manectric. the electric-type goes against the arboks, baring its fangs as it prepares to face them off. there's no need to worry about poison, since he knows this manectric was immune.

bite challenges the other wild pokemon, dragging them from their hiding place so it can directly go against them in a fight.

the scene looked brutal.

The Toxic assaults were never ending, and only getting more grave. Dozens of serpents had descended upon evergrande city and the Pokemon League Building, threatening any that they managed to get a hold of.[break]
The Arbok were ruthless, consumed by the influence of the chains that continued to spread, the cause of all of the strife over taking the region by storm. There was little else that could be done save for fending off the poison types and trying to save as many individuals as possible, ones that hadn't already been consumed...[break][break]
Yuina and Lumei rushed through the streets of evergrande city, avoiding the deathly glares of the Arbok and their hoods as Lumei rushed forward in a furious blaze. His Fire Fang proved effective, stunning the snakes before they could take more action, the toxic chains to be removed, but there were so many, there was no telling how long it would take before the attack would be quelled.

The Arbok attempts to swallow Tormund whole. Navy’s Perrserker simply stands there, unmoving. He is a bastion of steel in the storm. His smile betrays absolutely nothing. Something comes for him.[break][break]
“HAR!” Tormund bellows at the last possible instant. Two steel hands clasp around the Arbok. The fake out causes the cobra to flinch. It recoils back, leaving itself open for a follow-up attack. Rearing his head back, Tormund’s iron head lashes out at the snake.[break][break]
It is launched into a wall. Hattori appears from its shadow, severing the toxic chain as howard slayte taught them to do. Navy, who was standing mere feet behind Tormund, pumps his fist into the air. He’s put together a fine team. These monsters aren’t going to take anyone while he’s here. The League’s best and brightest are on the case.[break][break]
“Atta boy!” He says to Tormund. Next thing he remembers, he’s looking up at the sky. A concerned citizen stands over him. Somewhere along the way, Navy fainted.[break][break]
“I’m fine.” Navy insists on that as he stands up, looking around. Others take on the rest of the Arbok horde. Hattori and Tormund pull on him, leading him to a nearby hospital.[break][break]
It’s going to get worse before it gets better.

After a brief rest, Hideo was in better condition for dealing with this toxic chain attack. And ooh boy, were these snakes aggressive; the boy was at a higher risk than most other people here, considering his size.

But his Swanna was quick to react, tossing an Air Slash at any Arbok or Ekans that dared to get too close. His Eiscune focused more on offense, hitting its belly with a Belly Drum before going all-in on the chained Pokemon.

At least it'd make it easier for his Swanna to break their chains.

But that uncomfortable feeling was coming back…

use a move that causes a target to flinch (Air Slash)

attack/defend against the arbok.

have a pokemon know & use the move, BELLY DRUM.

if your character has participated in AT LEAST 3 POISON PATROLS, they may feel slightly unwell during this patrol; furthermore, your character may be able to discern that the TOXIC CHAINS do corrupt and imbue Pokemon with unique abilities...

why do they all have these chains on them? do they feel suffocated, like they're slowly slithering toward an early death?

the head scientist and her eevee are careful to tread lightly around league headquarters, eyes darting around to keep from being caught off guard.

and when an arbok comes too close, the shiny eevee lurches forward to bite it before it has the chance to strike. the arbok hisses and tries to move, but it flinches into a stillness.

"gotcha!"

illeana draws four small translucent barriers into place, the spatial confines forming a makeshift cage for the arbok to rest in...

A wriggling body could be seen inside an Arbok's body, the living remains of someone unfortunate enough to come across the serpent. Noel once again, comes to the help of anyone or anything in need afflicted by the toxic chains. With his Glaceon sent out onto the field to help those in need, the ice-fox bites down on the Arbok with an Ice Fang, causing the snake to flinch under pressure.[break][break]

It spits out the entrapped trainer and leaves in a hurry, the saliva encased man thanking his blue-haired savior. Noel nods to the man in kind, and goes out to save any more in need.

"Aw c'mon, Peaches - it's gotta be better than dealing with all those grafaiai, right?" The nudge he gives her does little to improve her move. She swats back at lam with one of her flipper hands.[break][break]

A particularly feisty arbok rears up, neck frill fanning wide as it hisses. Peaches looks up at him skeptically and Lam nods in a go on then, sort of way. Which earns him a disgruntled PSSYYY... but in the next moment, her hands are pressed to her round head as psychic energy coagulates around her.[break][break]

Then the psyduck takes a running leap, noggin first, and ZEN HEADBUTTS the sucker right in the throat. A flinch of stunned pained freezes up the serpent, and it stares at her with wide eyes and teeth bared.[break][break]

But it doesn't move an inch, and Lam reaches down to give Peaches a low-five.

It seemed like even a class trip to check out the Pokémon League wasn't safe from something happening.[break][break]
Knight coughed a few times, feeling a bit drained, as they were warned to group up and not move. But a group of students weren't going to behave in a situation like this and several were breaking off to check things out or just whispering amongst themselves.[break][break]
"Did you see anything?" He whispered to his 'mon, Perrin but the Flying type shook his head. Some of his classmates were saying the teachers were talking about Arbok but Kay didn't know how much of that to believe. He glanced around and gasped when he saw a classmate get pulled into some nearby bushes.[break][break]
Him and a few others dashed over to save her, and Knight was disturbed to see it really was an Arbok and it had tried to swallow her! "Perrin, use Drill Peck!" A few others had the same idea, and soon a small group of Pokémon attacked the Arbok. This was enough to free their classmate, and Knight hoped she was okay. He watched as the Arbok fled, and he was almost certain he saw some toxic chains...[break][break]
A teacher came over to intervene and, not having the heart to scold them for getting involved, merely told them to get back to the group and stop wandering off until the situation was under control.

Y'know, if it weren't for the whole 'Toxic Chain' thing, and people dying, and it being really really freaky, June would'v called this a fetish thing. What the fuck did they call it, vore? Gross, nasty, vile. Made her want to throw up whenever she saw it at the bottom of those '50/50 odds' posts where you scroll down to the bottom and see what it was.

But all the above were correct, so it felt wrong to chalk it up to that. Instead, it was a werid tragedy. June pointed at the nearest victim, some janitor who'd been ambushed by a massive Arbok. It was too busy 'feasting' to fight back, which meant it'd be all too easy to help the poor bastard out. "Kicker, can you, like, Headbutt that thing? Think that'll work?"

Kicker mock saluted and ran up to the snake with a pep in his step. The Arbok's eyes opened wide and it both hissed and tried to worm away from the threat that looked all too happy to pull its head back. No dice, though. His forehead slammed straight into the belly of tbe beast, and it coughed once. Twice, then a final heave brought the fool out.

"Get out of here," she said to the poor guy. He muttered his thanks as he ran away. She looked down at the snake, thoroughly dazed from the attack. Thank fuck she didn't have to think about this any more.
